Management Team

Group Leader – Deryll David

Deryll is a current Level 4 Referee after being promoted during the 2016/17 season. During 2017/18, he will be embarking on his first season at Level Four.

Deryll is current RA-FA Youth Council Vice Chairman which he has held since the start of the 2016/17 season.

He has contributed continuously to our Society, leading alongside John Cooke the Society’s Workshop Sessions having presented sessions on Body Language, Dealing with Dissent and Offside.

This year he was awarded “Best Level 5” referee, which helped him complete the trio of Best Level 7, Best Level 6 and Best Level 5, which was last done by Michael Hayden.


Deputy Group Leader – Bruno Gaisie

Bruno is a Level 6 on promotion to Level 5. He currently referees on leagues such as Islington Midweek League, Arsenal Academy and also lines on the supply league, The Spartan & South Midlands Football League.

He has also brought stability to the young referees by engaging with many young referees. He went on a trip to Paris alongside Deryll and other promising referees where they refereed international teams.

Bruno is a valuable member of the management team who brings a different mind-set to the group.
Bruno was the recipient of this year’s first ever AFA & LONSAR Young Referee of the Year award.


Management Tean Member – Liam Giles

Liam is a current Level 4 referee after completing the double jump from 6-4 last season (2016/17). Hailing from Romford, Liam commits to attending training session the society provides. Liam is also on the Spartan & South Midlands Football League and Essex Senior League.

He was appointed as the AFA Senior Cup Final as assistant referee last season (2016/17), he is a very highly respected referee who provides great experience and knowledge to the team.

This year Liam won the Best Level 6 award from our Society after his best season yet. He embarks on a new challenge when he starts this season as a Level 4.
