GRAB THE RA-FA TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

Following on the success of the last RA-FA Training Hub event hosted by the AFA & Lonsar Society at Actonians Association, the final training session of the pilot three sponsored by the RA-FA will take place at:

Venue: Old Tenisonians Sports Ground, Arthur Road, Motspur Park, New Malden, Surrey KT3 6LX

  • Date: Thursday 13th April 2017
  • Time: 19:00
  • Tutor: Ashley Slaughter, Level 3 Sussex FA, FA Tutor
  • Topic: Match Control
  • Food: Free of Charge

The FA has asked other local County FAs to publicise this event, for which there is no charge, to all their referees, so we want to make a good AFA showing.

This is the first time the Society has used the Archbishop Tenison Sports Ground. Please make an effort to attend, especially of you are fairly local. It is open to ALL referees, not just Society members.

The last two RA-FA Training Hub sessions have been very well-received with great feedback, and a bumper audience is expected.

The subject, which is around the dilemma of when to step in to preserve match control, is one that we have all faced at some time, and the advice given will help us all to better make that decision.

The FA is very keen to increase the development opportunities for the vast majority of referees who may not be on the promotion scheme or heading for the higher echelons of the game but are still keen to improve at their level.

The FA material they use for these nationwide presentations is normally very good and includes some good DVD clips which promote discussion and analysis.
